A big well done to Mick Holding on winning this competition, an achievement made even sweeter as this was his first competition this year after having surgery a couple of months ago;  Laurence Shahlaei came second with a very confident performance;  Wayne Tunstall in third who is improving every time I see him, especially on the Stones;  Rob Frampton - a comfortable performance by the big man;  Adam Townsend - always there;  Oli Thompson with a man-of-the-match performance with busted ribs and torn biceps and still coming in sixth - how he put those last 3 Stones up was truly amazing - respect to you Mr T;  Scott Heaton and Paul Carter came joint seventh with good performances.  These are the 8 athletes who have qualified to what will no doubt be a cracking Final.  Well done to all my friends who competed;  on a special note I would like to wish a speedy recovery to Big Dave Waters who injured his knee in the first event of the day.

And, of course, a massive thank you goes out to Steve and Gina for once again putting on a very slick and successful show, and we look forward to the Final of BMPM 2008 which is being held on Sunday 2 November.
